Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are officially married. The London event was a low-key civil ceremony, attended by close friends and family. Their story starts long before the cameras noticed them. Lipa has said she first met Turner at The River Cafe in London. She was having dinner with her father. He was out with his friends. The restaurant’s co-founder, Ruthie Rogers, introduced them. Nothing came of it straight away. The timing was not right.
Then fate handed them another chance. Lipa was having lunch in Los Angeles with her friend, the musician Mustafa the Poet, when Turner walked in. He spotted that Lipa was reading the same book he was: ‘Trust’ by Hernán Díaz. The two were even on the same chapter. Turner later told The Sunday Times he looked up and thought the universe was sending him a clear message. “The signs are loud, don’t worry,” he said. It was, by any measure, a proper rom-com meet-cute.
The public first noticed something was going on in January 2024. The two were spotted at the premiere afterparty for ‘Masters of the Air’, the Apple TV+ series in which Turner starred alongside Austin Butler and Barry Keoghan. Reports described them slow dancing together at the event. Photographers caught on quickly.
Turner was asked directly about the relationship just days later. His answer: “No comment.” But sources told outlets the pair had already been dating for a little while. Things became significantly more public that summer. Turner was photographed holding Lipa’s hand at Glastonbury Festival in late June 2024, where she headlined the Pyramid Stage. By this point, it was clear this was not a casual fling. They were showing up together at big, visible moments. They also took a holiday to Mexico, where they were photographed with their arms wrapped around each other on the beach.

On May 5, 2025, Lipa and Turner made their official red carpet debut at the Met Gala in New York. It was the first time they had walked a major red carpet together. She said she was “happier than ever” and acknowledged how hard it had been to keep something so personal private. “It feels like I’m doing a disservice by not talking about it,” she said. “I love love. It is a beautiful thing. It’s really inspiring. You find yourself intensely falling all the time, in the best way possible.”
The couple spent the winter holidays together and shared the moment with the world on Instagram. On December 26, Lipa posted photos from Christmas Day.
